VALUE and COST are two very different things.
Some of the things I value the most have absolutely nothing to do with how much they originally costed.
For instance, a pendant I got from my grandmother on my wedding day, a picture frame I got from my sister-in-law on my 30th birthday, a ceramic tile painted by my great grandmother that belonged to my mom…
None of those of things costed much but to me, they are priceless - the sort of thing I would try my best to save if my house went on fire, do you know what I mean?
